The following is a report presented by Nesta, a leading innovation foundation from the UK, on the way Digital Technologies could revolutionize democratic processes and the relationship between institutions and citizens. It also employs multiple case studies to highlight the different aspects of Digital Democracy and seeks to create a useful tool for practitioners, policymakers and citizens, aiming to promote new mechanisms for participatory and direct democracy.
